The 80cm telescope is a telescope co-built by the Astrophysical Center
of Tsinghua University (ACTU) and the National Astronomical Observatories
of China (NAOC). It is located at Xinglong Observatory, NAOC. The observing
time are shared by the astronomers of ACTU and NAOC..
The telescope is manufactured by a German company -- APM telescopes.
It was installed in November, 2003. It is proposed to be used to do
photometry for supernovae, optical afterglow of GRBs and AGNs.
The telescope is of the classical Cassegrain design. It is equipped
with a corrector and a reducer.
